Why can't headings have links?
This is something I know other wikis already implement.1 Just something simple to give the user more options. Currently, the syntax doesn't even support manually linking the headers.
Note that there is a patch provided by JiangXin at the bottom of FeatureRequests/TitleFormatting that provides this functionality, but (hopefully) 2.0 will get rid of the gigantic string pattern it modifies in /parser/text_moin_wiki.py.
In moin2, headings will have anchors, so they can easily be used as link TARGETs.
To make it clear to the casual reader, the request is apparently for links in or from headings since Moin already supports id attributes in the HTML output for headings, thus supporting headings as anchors. -- PaulBoddie 2012-06-12 14:40:41
