Short description
wikis are used from our group for a lot of different things and attachments added to a page for example for presentations is a common way to get them shown wherever you want.
Sometimes the people want to show first a preliminary presentation and then they do want to overwrite the already existing one by the revised last.
You have to take care that normally one who uploaded something does not remove by accident the wrong file. At the moment the only way I know to do this is to prepare a page with a lot of subpages where on each one only one presentation is uploaded and a ruleset with acls is given. On the master page include is used to combine these pages to the one which shows the list of presentations. So there are two things I want.
- One which I could do by an action macro myself is to create a form which gets the necessary input to create the master presentation page and it's subpages.
much easier it would be if attachments would get the meta informations about who has uploaded this file (we put this already into the log file) and only this one and the admin users could exchange or delete the attachment. This is similiar to the o+t right for directories on unix.

It is planned to move from attachments to (revisioned and logged) items with mimetype in 2.0. So don't expect much before...
