Tables would be much more manageable without word wrap.
The basic idea is the ability to disable word wrap in the text mode editor. Then each row of a table would be on its own line in the markup, allowing you to line up the || characters and make editing of tables in markup much more sane.

Some arguments against:
- The GUI editor will destroy any markup formatting, including extra whitespace within the cell text
If the GUI editor worked better, there would be no need for this feature. Perhaps better spending effort to improve the GUI editor. (including, fix the item above)
