Description
Normally when editing a page you get some info in the status bar on the time remaining the page is locked for edit by others. In IE7 and Firefox 1.5.0.8 on XP no info is displayed in the statusbar.
Works fine with Opera 9.02 and Firefox 1.5.0.8 on Linux.
Steps to reproduce
- Visit this wiki with IE7 or Firefox
- Edit a page. No info in the statusbars is displayed.
- Do the same with Opera. Works correctly there.

Workaround
Discussion
- I'm not sure but I think it worked correctly on IE6.
- When clicking into the edit field in Opera, the statusbar is cleared and info on edit lock is lost. The info appears again, when another minute in countdown is reached and the statusbar is refreshed therefore. Also other actions could cause Opera to loose the info in the statusbar e.g. moving with the mouse on the scroll bars of the window (not the edit field). Otherwise: you can do what you want: you cannot kill the blinking info "Edit lock is over now".
The warning displays inconsistently; sometimes IE6 shows it & other times it doesn't. Same with Firefox 2.0.0.5
