- Hey Alexander - I, too, love MMDE. Wonderful work!
Question - do you have a moin.exe for a newer version than 1.5 (I am looking for 1.57 or above - maybe 1.6?) I want to see if the reverse DNS lookup fix cures my latency problem when accessing any of the wikipages from a machine other than localhost. Currently I find everything very fast from localhost, but very slow from any other machine. It is not a network issue as it works very fast when running through a proxy on the server machine. Thanks! murray<<AT>>murraygoldberg<<DOT>>com
I would like to dump the pages of my Moin DesktopEdition Wiki to static html, so that I could transfer them to a dumb web server. How can I achieve this ? (The dump.py script seems not to work ...?) -- Michael G.
- The moin command has a dump command too.
- Michael: Thank you! But where can I find that? It is not that 'moin.py' script.
You can find it in the tar ball from the page MoinMoinDownload.

Hi Alexander, First of all thank you for providing the easy to install destop edt of MoinMoin. I have to say that MoinMoin is a fantastic help in my daily work!!! BRMy question:BRI currently have the MoinMoin Desktop version 1.54 installed on WinXP and I would like to upgrade it to 1.55. Can you tell me how to do that? BR Cheers, Dani
- Just copy the new files over the old ones and back up your wikiconfig.py beforehand if you modified it.
- Just a simple question. when I run the desktop edition can people outside on the internet connect to it or just myself from localhost only?
In the default configuration, only you can connect to it (from localhost). See DesktopEdition/HowToConfigure if you want to change that.
