Import Wiki Page from URL
I am using MoinMoin as a personal notebook for project management. Often I come across a web page somewhere that I'd like to add to my wiki. Currently, I copy the text of the page to a new wiki page and then attach manually an images. (I've actually extended the Attach File action to accept the URL of an image as a source, rather than just from the hard drive.)
Please show this patch that's interesting -- ReimarBauer 2005-09-14 12:21:51
I'd like the ability to give the URL of a page on the web somewhere and have MoinMoin import the page (with file attachments for images). Ideally, it would strip elaborate HTML and translate the content into wiki syntax. Even just filtering out HTML tags and leaving text and inline images would be helpful.
Parts of the code from MacroMarket/EmbedWikiPage could be used it the html parser is installed too
Then the page can me modified, appended, edited, whatever.
depends on rights of the content, what is if its not under an open license
Just an idea. Great job guys. Take care.
