Please add a new feature which allows to track the history of a wiki
As the discussion on MoinMoinBugs/RecentChangesIsBroken shows, many users are (more) interested in tracking the history of the wiki, i.e. to have a chronological day by day list which shows the changes to pages being made over time. The current RecentChanges does not support this opportunity, since RecentChanges only shows the latest, newest changes of a page which leads to a lot of confusion by everyday users.
The request now:
- Please add an ability to look at the change history of the wiki, i.e. to have a true "recent changes".
Please think of it, whether you could agree, that the current implementation of "recent changes" is not really one of recent changes, which shows the recent changes in the recent days ago. What you have implemented instead is a "LatestChanges", accumlating the latest, newest changes and only those over the past few days. If you can agree on that, please change the name "RecentChanges" to "LatestChanges" and call the wikihistroy WikiHistory or "RecentChanges". So we could avoid confused users which complain about a broken "recent changes".
Please add some short text in front of the table on RecentChanges and LatestChanges which explains what is shown in the table (e.g. Chronological list of changes made to the wiki in the last X days vs. list of latest changes and edits to pages dropping older versions of the page...)
