At the moment PageHits shows statistic on deleted pages
The page of LapasNav was deleted but while I have clicked on it the counter increases.
I think it should only show statistics about real pages or deleted should be shown separated. -- ReimarBauer 2005-10-15 21:34:17
Workaround
I agree this is really confusing. My PageHits went wild and it took my a while to figure this behavior out. I worked around the problem by using the PageHits(exists) option (which wasn't well documented). This apparently only counts real pages.

I didn't see this behavior before I upgraded from 1.2 to 1.5.
