We have a multi-wiki farm using MoinMoin to provide a company documentation system. Each wiki provides documentation for a specific segment of our company. We use VMWare/Ubuntu/Apache as host for the wiki with a read-write wiki in IL and a read-only wiki in TX. The Read-Only wiki farm gets rsync updated nightly. For user access we use https with certificate based authentication so that only employees who have been issued an internally generated certificate can see our wiki. We are somewhat decentralized with employees in 4 countries and, within the USA, in 6 different states. To date, we have around 3000 pages in our wiki farm.
