Description
Abstract
After verifying that moin2 works with SSL (there is another task for that) it needs to be verified that it also works correctly when using a proxy.
Details
- write docs about how you set it up for apache2 or builtin server
- Note: proxy does ssl with client browser, but proxy talks http (no ssl) to moin
- create some content items
- try out all views - if there are wrong links that erroneously use http: instead of https: file a bitbucket issue about it.
- if you modify an item, does the history show the correct client IP?
Deliverables: patch / changeset, maybe bitbucket issue
Benefits
We need more documentation about this setup. Also it should be verified that we generate all links with the correct protocol.

Discussion
Note: https://test.moinmo.in/ is a SSL site behind a Proxy, so it can be tested using that site.
