FCKeditor is the WysiwygEditor we use since MoinMoin 1.5.
FCKeditor produces HTML output that needs to be fed through a moinmoin plugin to produce wiki code.
The version of FCKeditor in use with MoinMoin 1.7.x was 2.2.
MoinMoin 1.8 was released with a major upgrade of the built-in FCKeditor (2.6.3 in 1.8.0, 2.6.4 in 1.8.2).
How To Report FCKeditor Bugs or Feature Requests
FCKeditor is an open-source editor tool used for WYSIWYG editing of pages. Its development is separate from MoinMoin. Issues relating to the editor are best reported directly to the http://www.fckeditor.net site. From there, click Support, then follow the SourceForge link. There, you can use message boards and report bugs. (You're on your own at this point )
Is it a problem with FCKeditor, or MoinMoin?
The general rule I would use is: if the problem occurs without leaving the editor, then it is an FCKeditor issue. If the problem involves entering or leaving the editor (saving, previewing, cancelling, etc.), or displays incorrectly when you first enter the GUI editor, it may be a MoinMoin issue. Try reporting the problem at (MoinMoinBugs), but subscribe to your bug report page. If you are advised that it is not a MoinMoin problem, then please report it at the FCKeditor site.
