While doing a mass edit on http://master19.moinmo.in I got the idea to find a way to give a priority for the pages which need to be translated first.
We have written a new action to make translations easier. You can try it on master19, CheckTranslation helps you to find the pages which needs to be translated. There are some parameters you can change. e.g. CheckTranslation in de and for essential_system_pages only.
Currently we are working on getting the (translated) page names for translating them into the po files. That's similiar to the translation of all the system messages. We can use the ##master-page: entry from a translated page if it is valid. Until we have finished that you don't see all translated pages from within that action.
/current_translation shows po translations based on my local underlay. The pages on master19 are more recent.
You can help if you know one of those languages by changing the ##master-page: entry on the pages listed there.
Once we have established the pagename translations in the po file, we don't need the master-page any more. That doesn't mean we should remove them NOW, though.
If we know the mapping of template pages for the given languages we can avoid expanding of page commands (e.g. @ME@) on these pages.
For translation of a page its name translated must be given in the MoinI18n/Your Lang file, see (http://master19.moinmo.in/MoinI18n). Ask ThomasWaldmann after you are ready with that file to create the po files. Afterwards you see missing pages for adding content at one of the categories by calling the action CheckTranslation.
