Short description
For 1.0/1.1 there were action called SubscribeUser and Subscribers in the ActionMarket by DanielaNicklas. These haven't been updated for recent versions, but I found these very useful for wikis on our intranet. It would be nice if that functionality were part of the core code (off by default for security reasons like DeletePage etc.) --DavidCramer 2005-06-21
There is an update for this macro your are looking for in MacroMarket. It's more then a update against 1.3. New features like user groups and template pages were added. Maybe someday it will be accepted for the core. --RaphaelBossek 2005-08-28
I see--cool! One question: if you remove or change the parameters to the macro and resave the page, is the subscription changed? Say I save the page and subscribe some user, then edit the page and remove the macro, is the user unsubscribed or does he stay subscribed till he edits his UserPreferences? -- DavidCramer 2005-08-31 13:34:12
This macro does not remove any subscriptions! It makes sure all those users are subscribed, nothing else. Each users has to change his UserPreferences to disable the subscription. By the way, it's not possible to know if a user subscribed manually or by the macro. Removing users wount be right. --RaphaelBossek 2005-09-11 16:40:00
