I have been using MoinMoin since May 2007 as a way to manage information on projects for my employer. I also find that it is a great way to store and manage those tiny tidbits of information one receives, but one never knows how to store. I evaluated several Wiki softwares before settling on MoinMoin. MoinMoin eventually won primarily because of the graphical editor and no exotic back-end data storage requirements (databases, etc.).
Since installing MoinMoin, I've become a 'documentation maniac'. 
I've been playing with computers for approximately 25 years, but Python is something I lack knowledge on. However, I suspect MoinMoin will drive me to learn more about it!

Look at Python, it's so easy and clear, you'll like it. I began programming Python with moin macros.
