My experience with MoinMoin
Our Wiki is base on MoinMoin 1.5.2 running under Python 2.4, Apache and Ms Windows 2003 Server. We currently have around 600 pages and 20 users registred. It is for internal use only.
We are using it as a central repository for documents, meeting minutes, FAQ, Calendar, reports ...
I would say that everybody likes our Wiki because it is easy to use. I am surprise to see that it takes a long time for our users to become familliar with the Wiki. They need time to understand this concept and to feel confortable with the syntax. I think that they feel disappoint by their first tries with the Wiki because it is never what they want. They are used to see very nice HTML pages and it is not what they get. After a few tries, it is better and now I can say that this tool has been adopted by most of the people.
Another problem is that it is groing and it becomes difficult to have a clear picture of the site. The main cause is that we don't have strict rules. We are trying to make it better.
As an administrator, I like it very much because it very easy to administrate and to customize. I spend very little time to administrate. I do appreciate it.
