Description
The smiley URLs are getting saved in the cache, which results in displaying wrong smileys if there are several themes in use. It's especially annoying if you have smileys with bright and with dark backgrounds.
Steps to reproduce
- Go to a page containing smileys
- Check the URL of the smiley
- Change your theme
- Check the URL again

Use the same smilies in all your themes. Use the same backgrounds in all your themes. Use transparent backgrounds in your smileys.

Smileys have to be done by a (dynamic) formatter call. Maybe we can collect other icon wishes here, too, so it can all get fixed at once.
