Device testing MoinMoin: Balckberry Bold (aka bbb)

Successfull testings

(these are the tests I've performed so far, using Moin default CSS theme)

• Edit pages, at least tested Text editing because GUI did not even show up as an option
• Perform previews
• Use Dropdown menus
• Perform searches
• Follow links smoothly
• Captcha verification is smooth, too

• Info -> General Page infos: perfect

• Info -> Page hits and edits: perfect

Issues and workarounds

• In order to create a moin page, I just couldn't use the bbb browser.

  • Tried <<GoTo>> macro instead. Did not work. I get this error message: HTTP Error 404: Not Found. The page you are trying to load could not be found. Please try loading a different page.

  • Tried entering the specific URL of the page I wanted to create http://moinmo.in/MauricioHernandez/BbbSamplePage, same error.

  • This misbehaviour is known from a misconfigured (== default configuration) IIS server. It does not send moin's 404 content, but makes up his own html content. For IIS, this can be switched off in the configuration, so it behaves standards compliant. So, if you use IIS, do that. If your client misbehaves in the same way, complain to the software author that this is bad and non standards compliant behaviour. -- ThomasWaldmann 2009-02-13 15:54:16
