What i tried
jquery/globalize - https://github.com/jquery/globalize
- One common issue with both of these is they offer too much, we may not require it. Unnecessarily may need to complications.
https://github.com/recurser/jquery-i18n
- This one caught my eye since is very simple to use and still should serve our purpose. Plus point, Is in the most crude form so can be used as per our requirements.

- More advanced, but good examples provided. .po to JSON conversion is easy as mentioned here, and .mo to .po is also easy.
http://codingwithcoffee.com/files/trunk/index.html
- On the first look is simple to use, but i'm not sure if the properties files can be generated by python since, python's gettext will use .mo files. Converting them to .properties might be an issue.
https://developer.berlios.de/projects/jsgettext/
- Very similar to the above two, supports .mo, .po, JSON. But is LGPL licensed, i'm not sure if we are comfortable with that. (?)
https://code.google.com/p/gettext-js/
- Uses prototype JS framework, redundant with jQuery so not so preferred.
This page should be renamed to be either a toplevel page or a subpage of your project page, both combined with using a better name for the page.
