About: ''MnKr''

This acronym goes back to Jules Verne. He described on one of his books the abbreviation KK for a historic person called Kamylk Pasha. KK stood for the 1st and last character of his name.

At school, and later when I first worked with computers in 1975 and had to use a "login name", I simply used the 1st and last characters of my first and last name, because calling myself MnKr was cooler than to use the first and second characters (MaKr which is pronouned like the german slang word Macker == guy).

Nowadays, I prefer the login name martin (at apache dot org or at php dot net)
