Worked on global index view, have one issue
To find out whether a item has subitem or not, i am calling flat_index function for each of them and i guess this may be time taking for long list of items, so is there any alternative(faster) way to find out this.
This needs to be discussed with ThomasWaldmann and Marchael. May be we can get it from the index

Now table cells have been replaced by divisions, which can be scaled to any number of items per row depending upon screen resolution.
If everything in code is fine, then should i first commit it and then make changes to item index page or do that first then commit both altogether. (item index is still not affected by changes done so far)
Yes please commit this part first
