You can get Mozilla/Firefox search plugins for MoinMoin here: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/download.html?name=moinmoin&submitform=Find+search+plugins , in order to integate MoinMoin search in your navigator toolbar.
The first make a "Text" search the second a "Title" search.
After installing them you can easily customize them by going to your Mozilla/Firefox directory (example: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins) and changing the base url in decalog_wiki_text-1.0.src and decalog_wiki_titles-1.0.src.
Enjoy!
Since the link is not working anymore, checkout MozillaSearchPlugin, or use this recipe:
Using keywords in Firefox bookmarks:
- Go to your wiki you wish to search often
Search text for: willchangethis
- Probabely you'll get an error 'no page matches' or anything. Ignore that for now.
Make sure the word willchangethis is in the url in the address/location bar (it should be something like http://moinmo.in/MoinMoinWiki?action=fullsearch&context=180&value=willchangethis&fullsearch=Text)
- Add a bookmark
- Open the properties of the bookmark by left clicking on it
In the location field, change willchangethis to %s
in the keyword field, enter a quick name you'll use (i'll assume wiki here)
- Save
Now that you're done enter wiki something you search for in the location bar and press enter. You should be redirected to your search results page.
