Description

The show top/bottom links general user preference is not a "show" option. Rather it affects whether top/bottom links are added to the page when it is saved.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Run version 1.2.4. (sorry I can't upgrade to 1.3.5 at the moment to verify but I suspect it is in the released version also)
  2. Set the "show top/bottom links" option in user preferences.
  3. Find a page without top/bottom links and edit it (noting that not all pages "show" top/bottom links even though the option is selected)
  4. Make a simple change (formatting or something), then save the page.
  5. Now go view the page again and note that the top/bottom links are there.
  6. Turn off the user preference, then reload the page and notice that the links don't go away. They are invisibly embedded in the page.

Workaround

Just a nuisance really.

Discussion

This is maybe just a caching issue (and maybe it is even fixed in current version). Try clearing the cache.

Try if it happens here and reopen the bug if you can reproduce it here.
