Comments on MoinMoin Markup

Things about MoinMoin that I think need to be changed.

No title markup

Many users feel the need to add a page title at the top of the content (myself included). We shouldn't be

Too much whitespace added

Short list of items not yet covered above

• Why follow all HTML formatting rules?
• More logical formatting markup
• Rethink on indentation
• Some markup is too picky
  • headings
• Unclosed formatting markup stops in output, but the translator still thinks it's on (meaning that next time you try to open that format, you close it a second time)
• links could be easier
• links should automatically show more friendly wording
  • subpages should remove opening slash
  • full subpage links should remove all but last page

  • url links should remove http:// and parameters

  • others?
• lettered lists that increment the label do not form a list (file as bug)

• non-paragraph line-breaks shouldbe easier than [[BR]]

• DON'T BE CaSe SenSiTIvE! WHY?????? In macro names, and everything else, for that matter
