Make markup compatible betweeen Wikipedia and Moin
Every body knows that if you look at MoinMoinVsMediaWiki there are many differences. We already do have a MediaWikiConverter. And on the page UnifyMarkup many of these issues are discussed.
I would suggest that it is possible to include a configuration for each wiki instance that allows either changing the markup to MediaWiki s or maybe better to also recognize its markup. I think there are more and more Wikipedians that ar not used to Moin and that do get stucked. This feature would help users adapt to the use of Moin quicker. I hat that some markup like in unordered listings are the other way arround. If you work in Mojn wikis and MediaWiki you are getting frustrated. AND you can not just Copy&Paste wiki markup.
It would also ok, if this would be a plugin or a macro, if this just works.

There is already a MediaWiki parser in ParserMarket. You can install it in your wiki, then use it as your default parser or per page with #format media.
