Short description
In our intranet-wiki I always have to make a decision before adding a piece of text to the wiki:
is there a chance I reuse the text someday (send it to the customer etc.)?
then I write a word text and only put a link to the word file in the wiki.is it strictly internal information? Then it is worthwhile to do text formating in MoinMoin-wiki style.
The perfect combination would be either
have MoinMoin-wiki accept an OpenDocument-Section (like xml e.g.) or
add an "export as rtf or OpenDocument"-button to each page.
That would prevent any reformating.
One could easily make a "download as pdf" action, simply by using html2latex and then pdflatex.
Have a look at RobertSeeger and RobertSeeger/MoinExporter - we're working on the Word vs. Wiki issue...
And there is already a pdf formatter, see FormatterMarket.
Also, we could creat a converter Moin -> OpenDocument, so any open standards compliant editor can open them.
