Resumee

As the work submission deadline has passed for Google Code-In 2010, we can happily announce that there were over 70 tasks completed for MoinMoin Wiki project.

For moin2, lots of coding tasks have been done, some research has been done, tests/code have been fixed, user interface been improved, the documentation has been improved and the translation system got its initial testing.

For moin 1.9, translations and system pages for some languages were significantly updated, completed or cleaned up and also some work was done on the code.

The moin developers wish to thank all students who contributed and welcome them as new developers and maintainers!

Announcement

MoinMoin is participating in Google Code-In 2010 which is an international contest for highschool students (i.e. we are looking forward to people who are visiting a school in almost any country in the world).

(!) There will be all sorts of tasks (not only coding tasks), most tasks will be related to the current development of moin2 (see MoinMoin2.0 for details).

See EasyToDo (and read the disclaimers there) for some brain storming about potential student task.

(!) There is still a lot of work to do with defining / refining / discussing these tasks, help NOW is welcome. We have to finish the tasks until 2010-11-21. /!\

If you are interested in GCI (as a participating student or as a mentor, helping students to get into Open Source / Free Software development), please join us early on MoinMoinChat.
