Description
Escapes used in a headline are not hidden.
Steps to reproduce
When editing a page, create a headline containing something you want to be escaped (in my case that was a @SIG@ makro) and escape it.
- Save the page.

Discussion
Stuff in headline markup is not parsed. That is a design limitation, not a bug.
But variables are parsed in headline markup. And variables are stuff.
I understand, that variables and other stuff differs from a developer point of view (there is also no preview of variables, but that is another usability story to tell...).
But for the user that is just inconsistent behaviour and things with a special meaning (such as variables) should be escapeable. So the other stuff should work too (prefered for non-block markup), or variables should not get parsed too. -- AllanWegan 2011-06-23 11:51:26
Thanks for the Unicode-Workaround. I will use it where copypastability of the result is no issue. -- AllanWegan 2011-06-23 11:51:26
