Welcome to the <company> Wiki
What is a wiki?
A wiki is basically an online collaboration tool. It allows you (or anyone) to easily create new web pages, which other people can then read, add comments, expand on, or just edit for typos. A wiki is basically a community-driven knowledge repository; in our case, we're using our wiki for internal documentation, processes, and project collaboration.
Wiki's offer the convenience and accessibility of a web page (that can be viewed from anywhere), with the ability to edit that page right from within your browser. No special editing programs required. Clicking "Edit" on any page gives you a familiar word processing-style toolbar (text-mode editing is also available with a click of a button, for those who prefer that method).
Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself!
Please don't be afraid to jump in and begin creating or editing pages! Wiki's make it extremely difficult to actually "break" anything. Wiki's track changes between edits. So even if you feel like you really screwed something up, it's trivial to roll back to a previous version. Conversely, don't fear that someone else might mess up your page, you can always roll back any changes!
